for when GitHub's Gist search won't cut it
Ever get frustrated with the gist search functionality? Need to find a gist but you didn't put the phrase you can remember in the description? Do you dislike leaving the command line for the browser, but you love gists?
Gripst may be for you. It's a command line Ruby Gem that allows you search your gists by regex. Is it the most efficient thing in the world? No, but it could save you crucial time searching for that one line.
gem install gripst
# authorize gripst
Search your gists by content and not just by title and description. Gripst clones your gists and matches your regex on each line.
Now you don't have to switch over to the browser to look for your gists. Gripst is powered by the GitHub API, but it lives where you live, in the terminal.
It's really not that many LOC. Want to change it or know how to make it better? Send a PR.
